One of the things that we are really grateful of as photographers is that we are blessed with couples who are unique in their own ways and it excites us to be able to display their uniqueness through our photographs.
Here’s another couple who are from two different parts of the world–one form above the equator and from below who met and got married because they were destined to. Our groom, Norman Sukardi who is half Indonesian and half German based in Indonesia. Our bride, Felicity Pascoe who is an Australian. And we feel like we became their photographers because we were also destined to be. It is all but part of the master plan (or so we believe).
They had their wedding following Sundanese tradition. It kicked off with a “siraman” (like a bridal shower), and on the next day an “akad-nikah” (the holy matrimony). “Mas kawin” (the offering) from the husband (to-be) was a mountain bike as Felicity likes mountain biking so much (to bad they don’t bring the bicycle to the ceremony :)) and then the wedding itself which ended up with a pool party. Fun!.
The wedding was held in Rumah Maroko, one of the coolest places (for us) in Jakarta. Most of the couple’s family from around the world was there to witness their union. It was amazing how you see people from different cultures come together to share a day that may be the most memorable for the couple. And we were blessed to have been part of this all.
Oh, and we just have to say this. It never ceases to amaze us seeing citizens of other countries wearing kebaya. It is just overwhelming and yes, in a shorter term: cute! We love, love, love it!

Finally!!!
Its been a month since our last post, now our blog shows bigger size photo than before. We hope you guys will like it, and stay tune for a lot of update!!!
Bellow is Airin and Setiadi Wedding day photos. We met Airin about six months before their wedding day. Since our first meeting, Airin already decided to trust us as her wedding photographer, although Setiadi were not present at that time :). The chemistry between THEUPPERMOST and Airin were so strong :).
The wedding was held on 21st of March 2009. It was very intimate, full of closest friends and family to celebrate their holy matrimony and reception. The holy matrimony really shows how both bride and groom really love each other. And each traditional ceremony they completed with close relatives.
We really “heart” this couple, and we are proud to say that their precious and of course, once in a life time, moment was beautifully captured. Through our lens we defined their love.

“Love at First Sight”. Maybe not everyone will say it does happen but here are two people who can vouch that it can. David and Sisca first met in a gym and everything followed and grew from there. After a year and a half of being together, here they are now, featured in our blog as husband and wife on their wedding day.
They seem to be born for each other…or so we believe. Sisca is a model who is used to facing cameras and David, just like us, a photographer, who’s used to holding a camera (except that he holds a Canon, and we a Nikon ;)) It was like everything was destined to happen the day they met in the gym.
As we always do, we enjoyed taking their photos for the very reason that we can feel their emotions for each other each time we press the shutter. The pictures, we believe, no matter how good a photographer is, would be dull if there is no chemistry between two subjects. And the chemistry was really strong between these two. The photos below will reveal this.
It has been yet another heart-warming experience for us to be chosen to be their photographers. We are most flattered that eventhough David’s gadgets are far better than ours, we were the “chosen one” so it is with great honour to present to you the once, Susanne Fransisca Widjaja and David Manansang and now, Mr and Mrs David Manansang.
Enjoy the photos from the engagement to the family gathering to the rehearsal to the wedding day itself and even to the day after the wedding when the couple along with families and some friends went to Villa Sangkara, Cangu, Bali… and just like us, you will also fall in love…
Love… love… love…

THEUPPERMOST had a chance, last Valentine’s Day, to covered an intimate wedding at the beautiful Banyan Tree, Bintan. We have never met Julia and Cliff before, but they were such a friendly, warm couple, that we hit it off right away.
In the short time provided, we managed to shoot a wedding portrait that we would like to share with you in this post. Last but not least, we’d like to thank Wiki (Foto Expression) for inviting us to the happy couple, thanks man! You give us really a ‘bad’ influence hahaha! And also Ilona & Marina, we are still wait for the invitation to Sydney hahaha!
Keep your eye on our next post for their candid photos
