After 8 years, Davin & Agnes celebrated their life+love by tying the knot at St. Ambrosius, Jakarta. They knew they wanted to bring an element of Disney’s UP movie to their wedding since the very first time they watch this movie together. The story between them is like a love story in the movie. We had some small interview session a week before wedding date, and we are really impressed with their love journey. They met each other during high school. After 8 years & 1000 miles of journey being together, they finally tied the knot in November 9th, 2015.

This whole wedding is all about how they keep a promise they made to each other. Because of their already untraditional circumstances, they focused on aspects of the day that were most important to them, and gave little thought to what ‘a wedding should be or should look like’. Disney’s UP movie holds a very special place in their hearts, not only is it breathtakingly beautiful, but there is just something about the way it makes them feel that can’t be explained.

They put their whole love story in a book called “Our Adventure Book” like Carl and Ellie did in the movie. This movie inspires them and their relationships a lot, as it’s reflected in how they decorate their house and named their pets like the characters in the movie. You’ll find real world version of Dug here, despite he didn’t wear the “talking belt” in his neck.

‘Il Mondo’, the “About Time” movie’s theme song played shortly once the blessing ceremony begins. While not all the Indonesian wedding couple can really enjoy their wedding due to many things, but Davin & Agnes prioritized time with an intimate group of friends and family. So much happiness and excitement shown through their eyes from the beginning to the end of the event. It makes our work easier to clear.

The church blessing ended by the strains of the theme song of their most favorite movies, Disney’s UP. A Brilliant idea to recreate Carl and Ellie’s wedding scene, but in the real world version. One of the most memorable moment for us was when we capture their first smile after they completing their wedding vows. It’s describe great love and happiness, so honest and straightforward.

We felt so honoured to witness their love, like it’s a real-world version of the love story between Carl and Ellie in the Disney’s “UP” movie.

Sincerely,
Yestha Pahlevi
