It’s not everyone job to get two finest things on same time, travelling and photography! We were so excited when we received email inquiry from Henika and Mishal about their wedding day at JW Marriot Resort and Spa, Phuket, Thailand. Our mind had been daydreaming those tropical mood combined of sea breeze, blue sky and intimates moments for sure. It will be our first wedding job at Phuket on our first thought!
Weeks later, Henika + Mishal replied again and saying they’ll flying us from Jakarta to Phuket for their big moments in life. Many brides and grooms would love to marry in the tradition of their ancestors or at least introduce elements of a traditional wedding ceremony or reception from their cultural backgrounds. While we all known that Indian wedding comes in a pack of compilation in between strong taste of culture roots that applied in today modern’s world. There’s a post blogging bout ‘Things That Happen When You Go To An Indian Wedding’ and ta-dahhh point number three said: Clear your schedule, it’s a three-day celebration!!! Being born at Indonesia with a deep culture over wedding ceremony is not surprised with the long itinerary of list-to-do to overcome the highlight of that word ‘I do’. But in this modern world full of simplified majority, we find that not everyday agenda to have this kind of mission to accomplished still!
We turned up in Thailand and were glad we arrived a day before the long-run assignment to acclimatise. As soon as we arrived Phuket, we finally met Henika and Mishal in person! While the heat was an obstacle, we had on our side an attractive couple and scenery. A gracious gesture of both of them and their family made us easier to blend-in than we supposed. This is really a once in a lifetime kind of celebration. We love this kind of wedding so much, we can’t help, but divided this wedding into two long blog post! Every moments and details really worth to share!
With so much of color, vibrancy, food, people, rituals, music, fun and frolic, Henika and Mishal wedding is truly a festival in itself! Their wedding represented not just the sacred union of two individuals, but coming together of two families and extended families as well! Their level of involvement is so profound that you can strongly believe their bonding is truly deep.
One day, when we got back to Indonesia. Me and Tito was keeping up with our excitement over the post-production and teasers, while suddenly a mail came in! It’s from Henika + Mishal. We feel so much loves over this electronic letter, and that’s why we want to share it here with all of you too. We know we always giving our best for each of our client, but when good things returned. We just helplessly overwhelming! and this is what they wrote:
Dear Sigit and Tito,
We wish we could describe in words about the great images THEUPPERMOST Photography took, but nothing will ever be able to describe anything better than a well captured image. Looking at the photos you took makes us want to re-live the moments of our wedding over and over again.
Having the world’s top most photographers at our wedding is indeed a dream come true. Over the years, we will look at these photos and remember this very important part of our lives in the best way possible, because every moment was captured so well. When we will look back at the wedding photo shoot images, we will reminisce the fun times of being bollywood stars and at the same time adore our youthful appearances. The people whom we treasure will always be put in a treasure box called a photo and if they will not be there tomorrow, we will open our little treasure box and smile at the moments captured with them. The natural images are always the best, thank you for looking for those moments and freezing them, so we can keep them safe whenever we need to look for that sincere trust in life.
What makes you one of the best photographers in the world is your passion and energy. That is what we adored most about you. We could see and feel that you were enjoying capturing every moment. There were moments which we missed that brought light to our eyes when we saw them in the form of a photograph. The tears, the laughter, the decor, our clothing, the list goes on but nothing was missed and we cannot thank you enough for this.
Life is like a book and we must write each chapter. This is our first chapter of our book together, we are glad it started with the most beautiful images. The best part is that we don’t need any words to explain it as the images tell the story so well.
Thank you for seizing each of our moments and teaching us an important lesson, which is that beauty, can be seen in all things.
We have showed the photos to a number of people and all are amazed by your great skills; we will definitely refer THEUPPERMOST photography.

This is a series of long-run itinerary to describing a wedding that matters more than just a word ‘I-do’. Hope you guys enjoy the outcomes as much as our team do. This is definitely something we will missed since returning to Indonesia.
